Description:
The Claremont Tunnel is a water transmission line in the Oakland metro area. It crosses the Hayward Fault and in 2007 a unique seismic upgrade project was completed to allow the tunnel to survive and remain in service in the event of slip on the fault up to 8.5-ft.
