Volvo offers $1.3 Billion for Ingersoll Paving Group

Volvo is now poised to enter the paving equipment manufacturing sector by making a $1.3 billion offer for Ingersoll-Rand’s Road group.

Volvo Construction Equipment is already one of the world's largest manufacturers of conventional and heavy construction equipment. According to ENR.com, the acquisition would give them a 37% market share in the North American paving equipment market.
